This lovely cabled poncho is a winner in all aspects. Soft flowing cables throughout, cuffs at the wrist to prevent slipping, and roomy enough for most sizes. It is written for S/M, and L/XL; however there is a lot of positive ease built into the pattern so it pretty much fits all sizes. It comes to your hip, but you can easily adjust the length as well by adding more cable pattern rows before your first decrease in the pattern. Perfect for all occasions and any figure.
This cabled poncho with cuffs is perfect for fall and spring wear in the cooler climates, and even for winter wear in the south. This feminine poncho features cables throughout in panels that gradually decrease as you go toward the neckline. The stitching around the neckline pulls away so it is a more relaxed feel around your neck.
The uniqueness of this design is the added cuffs. When you put this poncho on, you put your hands through the cuffs that are attached. This feature keeps the arms covered and keeps the poncho from sliding back when you raise your arms. It also gives the illusion of being a sweater without the constraint of a sweater. It is almost impossible to make one that doesn't fit comfortably.
The beauty of this pattern is it works well in just about any color, so make one, make two, and another for a family member or friend. The pattern is advanced beginner knitter friendly. The cables take a bit of time and patience, but it works up so beautifully, that they are definitely worth the effort.
